After years of coaching, traveling, and relocating 3000 miles away from my home in New England, I’ve decided to make yet another change in my life. I’m taking a hiatus from my coaching business, at least for the time being, and returning to my roots in New England to reconnect with family and friends there—-and with myself in much-loved surroundings. I‘m looking forward to rediscovering the beauty of some favorite places and encountering new ones. Although I will still visit my family in San Francisco as I have done for decades, my base of operations will now be in New England.

I’ve chosen to keep the Gingko tree as my logo because of its endurance in the world. This tree is one of the oldest on earth and has even survived the atomic bomb blast at Hiroshima. Its resilience and tenacity inspire me and resonate with me because I‘ve been uprooted, or uprooted myself many times in my life but have always worked at remaining grounded. I’m excited to see what this next chapter of my life has in store for me.

Both my sons and their families—-my grandchildren—-live in San Francisco. That’s Adam and Jaimi with son Jesse (23) and daughter Nina (25) who’s making her way in New York—-closer to me now (GREAT!); and Jud and Samantha with Fletcher (15) and Storey (13). There are also a few dogs rounding out the Family picture —-Dash and Owen with Adam and Jaimi—-and Maybe with Jud and Samantha and family.

There are family and friends on this coast too—-dear ones that were hard to leave 2 years ago but are a delight to return to now.

TESTIMONIALS

Dr. Carole Bergeron is a champion for mid-career professionals at the crossroads. Having been on the same career track for several decades, I knew that making a transition to a new trajectory that did not throw away my past but rather built upon it in a manner that could transform my direction for the future, was going to be challenging. After trying to figure it out on my own, rather unsuccessfully I might add, I knew I needed to work with a coach who was passionate about working specifically with mid-career professionals. I wanted a coach who would not only do this from a place of knowledge but also from an authentic place of her own lived experience. That is what I found in working with Carole Bergeron. Her knowledge and provocative questions were prompts that drove me further into uncovering not only what I wanted but creative ways in which to go about accomplishing it.  Practical steps were combined with deep soul searching and brainstorming. It was a process of self-discovery that, through small steps, opened up into a path that is clearly defining my journey into this next phase of my career and life.

I was very fortunate to have had the opportunity of Carole being my professor, mentor, and professional coach while earning my healthcare MBA. Some of her highlight attributes are the way she motivates, encourages to self-discovery. In working together and with her professional guidance, I was able to overcome several obstacles during my coursework. She is a master of breaking things down, simplifying.
